Hotel Puesta del Sol

Hotel is right on the beach with a really nice pool. No on-site restaurant. Staff are very nice and accommodating. Rooms are nice with relatively new televisions and kitchen appliances. Generally very good for Mexico.

Very nice rooms with kitchenetes overlook the pool and beach, which has nice sand, warm water and easy waves for swimming. Super friendly and helpful staff, very clean and safe. Prices are 1/4 of what you might pay for a similar room in the U.S. No elevator so be prepared for stairs. WiFi is spotty but good near the lobby courtyard. Great location as well. Lots of shops, grocery, great food and restaurants, taxi and bus station and a bank all in a couple blocks walking.

Comfy king bed. Though our room did not have a kitchen we did have a beautiful deck overlooking the beach. Bar and Restaurant next door were great.

My go to when in town. The staff needs to loosen up some. To strict on towels being dirty. Towels are old and worn out and if you “dirty” them they will charge you as if brand new.

This place was recommended by a close friend. Good value...we stayed during the week and got a very reasonable rate. Some pros: it is right on the beach, it had a nice pool with comfortable lounging chairs, nice dining tables for gathering/dining in the common areas. Rooms have AC which is a MUST for summer months or you will melt. There was a nice man that rented sombrillas on the beach for 120 pesos. The hotel is next to a convenience store where we got all of beverages for the beach, including beer, the hotel also tries to be environmentally friendly and seperates trash, compost, etc. I requested a room with a view and was not charged extra. Rooms have a balcony with a fridge, stove, and a kitxhen sink if you want to cook. Now cons for me: they give you one set of towels per person, blue for beach, white for the room and thats it. You can exchange daily but there are no washcloths, floor towels, etc. They are still on a key system so you hae to carry your key and giant key holder everywhere. We ended up losing it and paying 50 pesos...there are no elevators and multiple floors so if you are not into stairs ask for a ground level. There is no restaurant or food included. You get the basics here and that's it, worth it for us because we wanted to be on the beach!

A perfectly located hotel right on the beach front where everything is within walking distance. I personally like the secure parking and friendly staff. I've stayed here on many occasions and I enjoy it even more now that some of the rooms have been remodeled. The beds are comfortable. The pool area is very nice with an ocean view. The Wi-Fi is limited to a lounge area next to the lobby, so don't expect to get Wi-Fi access if your room is far away. Plenty of security cameras around which is a plus. Definitely planning another stay at this hotel.

Well maintaned, efficient, clean, manicured, convient, strict rules, quite, no music at all, ocean surf is all that you need. Upgrading property regularly. Price worth the qualify of property.
